One of the founding goals of the Nightscout Foundation is to provide resources for the next generation of hackers, citizen scientists, engineers, DIYers and do-gooders in the Type 1 community. To that end, we have created the Nightscout Foundation Community Scholarship program. The purpose of the program is to award one-time merit based scholarship monies to T1D students pursuing advanced degrees.

To be eligible, recipients must:

  • Be diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes

  • Be officially admitted to an accredited College or University (two or four year degree programs are acceptable)

  • Have a minimum GPA of 2.5

  • Be officially enrolled by July 1.

  • Have an interest in STEM or STEM-related topics

  • Using one of the DIY technologies supported by the Nightscout Foundation for managing Type 1 Diabetes.

Monies will be paid directly to the educational institution upon award and verification of enrollment.

Applications are accepted until March 31 to be considered for the following academic term. If you do not see the application below, the application period is not currently open. Check back after February 1 to apply for the application for the next academic year.
